BAGLA PEETHA

 Baglamukhi Siddha Peetha

(The following article is a translation of an original article from the book ‘Bagalamukhi-ek durlabha sadhana paddhati” written by Swami Divya Chetanananda. This article narrates Guruji's journey in the Path of Sadhana and the reason behind the establishment of Bagla Siddha Peetha at Mumbai)

In the words of Swami Divya Chetnananda :

"My Master, Gurudeva Paramahansa Swami Nikhileswaranada who is the direct embodiment of
Parabrahma (The Supreme Spirit), many years ago had revealed to me about the various forms and qualities of Ma Bagalamukhi, in various retreats and sometimes in solitude. He also spoke about Her Motherly love, Strength and thousands of other topics related to Her. Since then, I got interested in the Sadhana of Ma Baglamukhi and this interest kept deepening day by day, becoming the hunger and thirst of my life.

For the next twelve years, I dedicated myself to the Sadhana (Tantrik Meditation) of Ma Bagla. At the same time, in the year 1986, during the Navaratri Festival of Springtime, I established the deity of Ma Siddhi -daatri in  “Shakti Sadhana Peetha” near Ayyappa Temple in Dockyard Colony, situated in the town of Bhandup, in Mumbai City.  In those days, this place was the residence of a hatha-yogi, Swami Shankaranandaji, who came form the lineage of swami Nityananda of Vajreshwari.

My Master and many of His disciples, my god-brothers, frequently visited this divine Shakti peetha. We used to meditate there all night long. These nightly meditations continued for many years, unbroken.

Along with the sadhanas of Ma Bagla, we also did the sadhanas of other Mahavidyas like Kali, Tara, Lalita Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Chinnamasta, Tripura Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi, Kamala and other gods like Ganesha, Hanuman, Bhairava, Shiva, Yaksha (a demigod and Navagraha (The Nine planets).

These Sadhanas, that were being performed under the direction of my Master, my beloved Baba Bhoothnathji, and father like figure Baba Shankaranandaji, continued to make my life extremely strong and powerful and the guidance, support, initiations & Shaktipaat (transfer of energy) from these great personalities helped me continue my sadhanas in rain, shine or bitter cold days in the deserted jungle near Ayyappa temple, which was infested with snakes, scorpions, reptiles, ghosts and spirits.

These kind of places can play an extremely important role in arousing the Shakti (Divine Energy) that is lying dormant within the Sadhaka (Practitioner).

Many joined me in these sadhanas, but a constant influx and sifting of people kept going on. Many changed the path itself, but I could never change. Forget quitting the path of sadhana, the thought itself could never enter my mind. In the path of tantrik sadhanas or the sadhana of Ma Bagla, the Master’s Grace is the most important factor in achieving Complete Perfection and I am humbled to have received such a grace always.

I know that I have no qualifications, nor do I have a great foundation, nor am I free from cheat & deceit, nor am I mad in the love of God, nor free from materialism or desires, neither from attachment and delusion, yet, I know that a Master is a Master and I have always been a candidate of His Grace and Mercy.

True Masters always love and like their disciples even more than the parents and in reality, they don’t leave any stone unturned to bring out the greatness of the disciple and make him realize the Brahman (Spirit). I have personally experienced the hard work of my Master towards his disciples and even till date, in every breath, every heartbeat, every thought, ever task, every action, I feel His Presence, Grace & Energy.

During one of the maha-yagnas, (a big fire sacrifice) held yearly on new year’s eve, I had a revelation from my Master and in that vision He said “People perform yagnas (fire sacrifice), offer samidha (oblations) to the fire and gain merits for their actions but I have offered My entire life as an oblation to the ‘Great Sacrifice of Welfare’ to benefit my disciples, yet none has truly understood me.”

I never tried to understand my Master; rather I surrendered myself completely at his feet.

My Master established the beeja (seed) and shakti (energy) of Divine Mother Baglamukhi within me, through an extremely complicated & difficult process of  sadhana that he made me perform. I performed Baglamukhi sadhana 21 times, and then during the festival of nine nights of Navaratri, My Master gave me Baglamukhi initiation along with extraordinary Shaktipaat  (transfer of energy)

I have performed sadhanas in almost all of the holy places, whether it was siddha-peethas like Haridwar, Kankhal, Varanasi which includes the Cemeteries, Sankat Mochan Temple and the Prayag Confluence or the region of Ujjain Mahakaal and the nearby cemeteries, the sanctuary of Kamakhya or the temple of human skulls known as Naramundi ashram, the residence of My Master or the ashram of Baba Bhoothnathji at Lucknow. During Navaratris, I also performed many sadhanas at Datia ashram and was fortunate to get direct blessings from the Swamiji who has established the ashram.

I have received complete blessings from Ma Baglamukhi and under Her guidance, protection and (shakti peetha),blessings of My Master, Baba Bhoothnathji and Baba Shankaranandaji, I was commanded to establish Baglamukhi Siddha Shakti Peetha.

At this divine, energetic place of worship, Ma Baglamukhi appeared in the form of ‘Shri Raj Rajeshwari -The Sovereign Empress’. Since then this peetha has become known as Shri Raj Rajeshwari Bhagawati Baglamukhi Siddha Shakti Peetha.

Thousands of people, who have thronged this place to have a darshan of Divine Mother, have gained innumerous experiences. Common people may not experience certain experiences, which are experienced by great saints through their divine eyes, yet, these people do experience a positive energy in their lives, a change that not only fulfills their desires but also fills their lives with peace. Such experiences cannot be denied and they prove the presence of Divine Energies in a Siddha Peetha.

At this Raj Rajeshwari Baglamukhi Siddha Peetha, other deities are also present which include the Peetha of Siddhashram Gurus, Baba Bhoothnathji and Shri Sai baba.At the peetha, along with Ma Bagalamukhi, other Gods and Goddesses like Ma Kamakhya, The Ten Mahavidyas, Ganesha, Hanuman, Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, Kuber, Dhanavantri, Annapurna, Ma Sheetala, Navagrahas and various other Divine Energies of the Universe are also established.

Anyone who does sadhana at this peetha can directly experience the presence of these divine energies.Swami Nikhileshwarananda, Yogis of Siddhashram, Baba Bhoothnathji assisted by many other saints of the universe, govern this Shakti Peetha and Ma Bagla presides over everyone.
May all of you experience this too. May Ma bless you and may you get peace, happiness, and
prosperity in her lap. May you see Ma in personal form and experience Her presence and motherly love in every moment of your life. On behalf of my Masters and also myself I offer you many blessings."
